http://www.german-rainbow-golfers.de/Start_en.html

Europe’s largest GLBT- golf tournament will be played over two rounds of 18 holes, (strokeplay Stableford) according to the rules of golf as approved by the Royal Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews. There will be separate categories for women and men split up into four different net classes and one over all gross class; award medals for the first, second and third place in each category and class. Split of handicap / play mode:

Based on our experiences of the last six years, the 7th German-Rainbow-Open will be played in two groups according to the individual golf handicap. This procedure will lead to better results for players of all playing levels.

This year, the NEW WINSTONlinks course, award winner as „best new golf course of Germany 2011“, will be the venue for the 7th German-Rainbow-Open 2011 for all players with a golf handicap of - 28 and lower. More information about the new state-of-the-art golf course here.

The split of handicap has been defined at HCP - 28.0 by the golf management of our host, WINSTONgolf. This means for the proceedure of the tournament as follows:

For participants whose golf handicap will improve (or degrade) between the date of registration and the tournament itself to hcp - 28 and lower (or - 28.1 and higher), see the following procedure:

the player will move to the course „WINSTONlinks“, (or „WINSTONopen")

But only, if

  1. there are free starting positions on the course „WINSTONlinks“

  2. (or WINSTONopen) and

  3. the new handicap information has been transfered until 12-Sep-2011 to WINSTONgolf.

If the handicap changes later, it cannot be considered to move to the „WINSTONlinks“ (or "WINSTONopen)", but the participant will enter the tournament on the course „WINSTONopen“ (or WINSTONlinks") with his current handicap.
